Hot tubsEstonia's sexiest woman Grete Paia: I love to relax in the barrel sauna - water treatments are good for the skin.
"My parents have laughed all my life that it's like I live in water. Ever since I was little. Every time we went to the beach, I was the first one in the water and the last one out. Water has always been very therapeutic for me," admits singer Grete Paia.
So it's no surprise that Grete also enjoys a good time in the barrel sauna. "As I'm spending more and more time in my childhood home in Saaremaa, I've been thinking about having a barrel sauna. I've been talking to the family about it for several summers, but so far they haven't taken to it. But then I started to scare them that I'd take silk chickens instead. Next to that, a barrel seemed like a very good thing - otherwise I'd still come with chickens," Grete explains with a laugh.
Grete's grandmother showed the first signs of relenting among the family members, and this spring she herself took up the topic of buying a hot tub. "I believe that coves have definitely increased the popularity of hot tubs, because it wasn't always possible to go to a spa. You see it in so many gardens," the singer notes.
And so the Lingalaiu hot tub has now been installed in the courtyard of Grete Saaremaa's home. "Lingalaiu's design is beautiful and I have the impression that they are the ones who offer the highest quality hot tubs. Their approach is also very personal and I was able to choose the contents and other accessories myself," praises the young woman.
Grete chose the best and most luxurious model of Lingalaiu: the Lux. "If you're going to buy a barrel sauna, you should buy it as it is - not so that you'll want a new and better one after a while. The Lux has the most extras and its interior is ergonomic, i.e. it follows the body. I also liked the fact that the stove is not a separate part of the barrel, but integrated into it. In addition, the Lux is particularly beautiful to look at - it's a must!" explains Grete. By the way, the integrated stove has a beautiful glass door and creates a chimney effect in the darker times.
The Lux hot tub seats seven to eight people at a time, so you can sit comfortably with a larger group. "I can't really say yet who will be using the hot tub in particular. Probably me and my friends, but I hope my mum, dad and grandparents will get used to it," adds Grete: "As my job requires a lot of interaction and socialising, I actually lend myself to times when I'm completely alone. I think the barrel sauna is a good place to be on your own."
In general, Grete has always been a big spa goer, but in the last few years she has been so busy that she hasn't been able to go to the spa much. Now, thanks to the hot tub, she can enjoy the spa right in her own backyard! "I think a home spa is actually the best option," she says.
Grete was also recently declared the sexiest woman in Estonia. The singer is of the opinion that taking care of oneself and relaxing are closely linked to looking beautiful. "Of course, my pace of life is so chaotic at the moment that there are periods when I only sleep for four hours... At the moment I can still get away with being 26, but I don't think I'll be partying for long - I need to think more about my beauty," Grete laughs, and then says in a more serious voice. To be sexy and confident, you need to feel well, rested and comfortable."
So Grete recommends taking moments for yourself to feel and look your best. "One evening and an hour - it all makes you feel better. Water treatments are good for the skin anyway."
Although the hot tub is ideal all year round, Grete is looking forward to enjoying the tub in winter. "It's 15 degrees outside, wearing a fur hat, warming up in the barrel and then jumping in the snow - it's so nice! In winter, a barrel bath is a much more extreme experience," she says.
