Help your body wake up

The thought of starting the day in a warm hot tub might initially make you think it's more of an invitation to crawl back into bed. But in reality, a warm bath in the morning can actually help you wake up, in some cases with an even better effect than coffee. Those who are used to working out in the mornings can benefit even more - just 10 minutes in warm water can improve circulation and prepare the body for the workout ahead.

The best mental preparation

We've all experienced mornings when it feels impossible to get out of bed and start the day. And even when we've finally managed it, it's often turned into a relatively unproductive day. But by starting your morning with a 10-minute warm bath session, you can create a pleasant habit to look forward to in the evening before you fall asleep. Quality time spent in the morning in a hot tub provides the moment you need to think through all the most important activities of the day ahead while relaxing in a peaceful environment. This can be particularly helpful at those times of life when frequent anxiety tends to take over. It is in the mornings, after waking up, that the stress hormone cortisol levels in our bodies are higher, but a warm bath can help to lower these successfully. As a result, you'll face the day's challenges feeling calm, confident and confident.

Coffee lovers, however, may be in for another pleasant surprise. Because the warm water of the hot tub speeds up the heart and improves circulation, it also helps your body to absorb caffeine faster. By amplifying the stimulating effects of coffee in this way, you'll be able to give your day an extra-powerful kick-start.

5 things to know before you buy a hot tub.

So many of us see things somewhere or at someone's house that we would like to buy for ourselves. These purchases are always based on emotion (beautiful, comfortable, easy to use, exactly what I need), which often leads to worries and problems that people are not aware of.

Exactly the same is true when buying a hot tub. You see it in an advertisement, at a friend's house, or a neighbour's house just got a gorgeous hot tub. It is our policy at Lingalaiu to be by the customer's side from the moment the idea of the purchase is conceived, right through to the subsequent technical support.

Many customers know what kind of hot tub they want and know how it works because a neighbour has one and saw it being brought in and installed. There is an ideology that I know exactly how it works.

But does it still know?

I'm going to take one of the instructions for using a hot tub, spread it out, colour it red and put it together in a way that every customer and reader of this article will understand what they should know before they buy a hot tub.

1.HOT TUB INSTALLATION

If your hot tub is wood-burning, choose its location first and foremost with fire safety in mind. However, it is not less important that the barrel, stove and everything else is placed on a level, level and solid surface. An uneven surface is not suitable for simply storing a hot tub.

A substrate of paving slabs, stone parquet, concrete or a compacted aggregate base at least 20cm thick is ideal. If you are planning to install a hot tub on a terrace, make sure that the supporting structure of the terrace is sufficient to support the weight of the water-filled hot tub. If in doubt, consult a structural engineer! It is forbidden to place the hot tub directly on the lawn or on top of wooden blocks, blocks of stone or similar!

2.INSTALLING THE OVEN

To install the stove correctly, prepare the same level and equivalent base as for the hot tub. Place the stove on the side of the hot tub equipped with heating hoses, so that the ends of the water pipe of the stove are as close as possible to the ends of the hoses protruding from the tub. Place the ends of the hoses over the stove pipes and carefully move the stove towards the barrel until the stove water pipes are completely inside the hose. Then place the clamps on the hoses about 3 cm from the back wall of the oven and tighten the clamps with a spanner or screwdriver.

3.FILLING THE HOT TUB WITH WATER.

Before filling the hot tub with water, make sure that the drain tap at the back of the oven is closed. If you do not use the quick tap at the bottom of the hot tub, make sure that this tap is also closed. Use clean fresh water with a PH level between 7 and 7.4 Special tablets can be used to regulate the PH level of the water, and active oxygen tablets can be used to disinfect the water. The use of chlorine-containing water purifiers is prohibited!

FREEZE!

Remember that water freezes when the air temperature drops below 0°C! Freezing water swells and can cause irreversible damage to the stove, drainpipe, hoses and appliances. In the event of sub-zero temperatures, the hot tub filled with water must also be heated immediately.

4.COOLING

179A1169 | 2024

Do not light a fire in the oven until the water level has covered all the openings in the hotplate! Use dry wood for heating. Start with finer logs and chips. You can also use fire starter tablets to start the fire. It is forbidden to heat the stove with coal or briquettes! The ideal water temperature for scalding is between 38 and 40°C. For the quickest results in scalding water, keep the fire at a constant heat and add fuel regularly. Once the desired temperature has been reached, stop intensive heating. Avoid overheating! This will shorten the life of the stove and excessively hot water can also cause burns! After the scalding process, when the coals have cooled down, drain the barrel of water.

FREEZE!

Remember that water freezes when the air temperature drops below 0°C! Freezing water swells and can cause irreversible damage to the stove, drainpipe, hoses and appliances. In the event of sub-zero temperatures, the barrel heated to 38°C, the stove and the appliances connected to it must be drained within 24 hours of the fire being extinguished. Do not forget to drain the bottom of the stove! The tap provided for this purpose is located at the back of the stove, between the stove and the barrel.

5.MANAGEMENT

To ensure that your barrel bath provides pleasure and enjoyment for as long as possible, it needs a little basic care.Water sediment, dead skin and other dirt that has accumulated on the inner surface of the barrel bath is easiest to remove immediately after draining. A soft cloth, warm water and household washing-up liquid are ideal for this. Citric acid can also be used to remove tough stains. The thermal wood lining of the sauna and other wood parts will gradually lighten over time with UV radiation. To restore the darker shade and to prolong the life of the wooden parts, the wooden surfaces of the wood can be treated with wood oil. One application per year is sufficient. Always empty the stove of ashes after using the wood stove.

In order to keep the water in your hot tub as beautiful, clean and clear as possible for as long as possible, it is necessary to purify it with water purifiers. There are three types of water purifiers: disinfectant, water clarifier and hot tub plumbing cleaner.

All of the above cleaning products are also available in our e-shop .

Estonia's sexiest woman Grete Paia: I love to relax in the barrel sauna - water treatments are good for the skin.

AD9A9149 | 2024"My parents have laughed all my life that it's like I live in water. Ever since I was little. Every time we went to the beach, I was the first one in the water and the last one out. Water has always been very therapeutic for me," admits singer Grete Paia.

So it's no surprise that Grete also enjoys a good time in the barrel sauna. "As I'm spending more and more time in my childhood home in Saaremaa, I've been thinking about having a barrel sauna. I've been talking to the family about it for several summers, but so far they haven't taken to it. But then I started to scare them that I'd take silk chickens instead. Next to that, a barrel seemed like a very good thing - otherwise I'd still come with chickens," Grete explains with a laugh.

Grete's grandmother showed the first signs of relenting among the family members, and this spring she herself took up the topic of buying a hot tub. "I believe that coves have definitely increased the popularity of hot tubs, because it wasn't always possible to go to a spa. You see it in so many gardens," the singer notes.

And so the Lingalaiu hot tub has now been installed in the courtyard of Grete Saaremaa's home. "Lingalaiu's design is beautiful and I have the impression that they are the ones who offer the highest quality hot tubs. Their approach is also very personal and I was able to choose the contents and other accessories myself," praises the young woman.

Grete chose the best and most luxurious model of Lingalaiu: the Lux. "If you're going to buy a barrel sauna, you should buy it as it is - not so that you'll want a new and better one after a while. The Lux has the most extras and its interior is ergonomic, i.e. it follows the body. I also liked the fact that the stove is not a separate part of the barrel, but integrated into it. In addition, the Lux is particularly beautiful to look at - it's a must!" explains Grete. By the way, the integrated stove has a beautiful glass door and creates a chimney effect in the darker times.

gretepaia | 2024The Lux hot tub seats seven to eight people at a time, so you can sit comfortably with a larger group. "I can't really say yet who will be using the hot tub in particular. Probably me and my friends, but I hope my mum, dad and grandparents will get used to it," adds Grete: "As my job requires a lot of interaction and socialising, I actually lend myself to times when I'm completely alone. I think the barrel sauna is a good place to be on your own."

In general, Grete has always been a big spa goer, but in the last few years she has been so busy that she hasn't been able to go to the spa much. Now, thanks to the hot tub, she can enjoy the spa right in her own backyard! "I think a home spa is actually the best option," she says.

Grete was also recently declared the sexiest woman in Estonia. The singer is of the opinion that taking care of oneself and relaxing are closely linked to looking beautiful. "Of course, my pace of life is so chaotic at the moment that there are periods when I only sleep for four hours... At the moment I can still get away with being 26, but I don't think I'll be partying for long - I need to think more about my beauty," Grete laughs, and then says in a more serious voice. To be sexy and confident, you need to feel well, rested and comfortable."

So Grete recommends taking moments for yourself to feel and look your best. "One evening and an hour - it all makes you feel better. Water treatments are good for the skin anyway."

Although the hot tub is ideal all year round, Grete is looking forward to enjoying the tub in winter. "It's 15 degrees outside, wearing a fur hat, warming up in the barrel and then jumping in the snow - it's so nice! In winter, a barrel bath is a much more extreme experience," she says.

Grete Paia, the sexiest woman in Estonia: 'I love enjoying a barrel hot tub. Water procedures are good for the skin'.

AD9A9149 | 2024

'My parents have been saying all my life that it's as if I was made to live in water. Ever since I was a tiny child. Whenever we went to the beach, I was the first one in the water and the last to come out. Water has always been very therapeutic for me,' admits the singer, Grete Paia.

It is no wonder then that Grete also enjoys a good barrel hot tub.'As I am spending more and more time in my childhood home in Saaremaa, I've been thinking that there should be a hot tub there. I have been saying this to the family for several summers, but they haven't listened. Now, however, I have threatened that I'll start keeping Silkies instead. Compared to that, a barrel hot tub seemed totally harmless. Otherwise I would show up with my chicken,' explains Grete with a smile.

The first of the family members to show the signs of warming to the idea was Grete's grandmother, who herself this spring brought up the issue of buying a hot tub.'I believe that Covid has certainly increased the popularity of hot tubs as it has not always been possible to visit a spa. We can spot them in so many gardens now,' comments the singer.

And so there is now a stylish Lingalaid barrel hot tub in the garden in Grete's home in Saaremaa.'The Lingalaid design is beautiful, and I am already under the impression that their high quality hot tubs simply cannot be bettered. Their approach is also very personal - I was able to choose the interior and other accessories,' Grete points out, full of praise.

Grete selected the best and most luxurious Lingalaid model, the Lux. 'If you decide to get a hot tub, make the best decision you can. Don't get just any tub, as you will want to replace it before long with a new and better version. The Lux has more accessories than any other model, and also boasts an ergonomic inner lining which is moulded to the shape of the body. I also liked the fact that the heater is not a separate part of the barrel but is integrated into it. The Lux is also especially beautiful. Any barrel hot tub should be easy on the eye!' Grete chuckles. By the way, the integrated heater has a beautiful glass door, with a fireplace effect being created when it's dark.

The Lux barrel hot tub fits seven or eight people, so it can be enjoyed by a larger crowd.'I'm not actually sure yet who will be using this barrel hot tub most. Probably me and my friends, but I hope that my mother, father, and grandparents will also get used to it,' says Grete and adds: 'As my work calls for a lot of communication and spending time with other people, I actually charge my batteries when I am completely alone. I believe that a barrel hot tub is a lovely place in which to enjoy being in your own company.''

n general, Grete has always been an avid spa goer, but in recent years she has been too busy to be able to spend much time in spas. Now, thanks to this barrel hot tub, she can enjoy a spa at home in her own garden! 'I believe that a home spa is actually the best option,' she finds.

Grete was recently declared the sexiest woman in Estonia. The singer thinks that taking care of herself and relaxing have a lot to do with a good appearance. 'The pace of my life is, of course, pretty chaotic now. There are times at which I only get about four hours of sleep a night... That's fine now, when I'm 26 years old, but the good times probably won't last long - I will have to start thinking more about my beauty sleep,' laughs Grete, adding more seriously: 'But of course it's important to rest, relax, and take care of yourself. In order to be sexy and confident, you must feel good, well-rested, and comfortable.'

To that end, Grete advises anyone to take moments for themselves in the name of feeling and looking good.'If only for one night and for just an hour, all of this will make you feel better.' Water procedures are good for the skin anyway.'

Even though a barrel hot tub is ideal all year-round, Grete is primarily looking forward to relaxing in the tub in winter. 'It's minus fifteen degrees outside, we are wearing fur hats, we can warm up in the tub, and then jump into the snow. It feels great! A barrel hot tub is a much more extreme experience in winter,' she says.

Interior architects: do you want a long-lasting and stylish hot tub? Pay attention to just these details!

179A0407 rotated e1647888221542 | 2024

More and more bath barrels can be seen in the yards of detached and terraced houses. On the one hand, people are fascinated by the possibility of enjoying a mini spa experience right in their own backyard, but on the other hand, it is also an exceptional element of garden beautification. So how do you go about choosing the ideal hot tub for your garden? Interior architects Heinike Luht and Kristiina Puusepp advise.

All year round, the hot tub brings a wealth of invigorating experiences to everyday life, for the enjoyment of both body and soul. It helps you relax, feel better mentally and physically, and get better sleep, which in turn takes your productivity for the day to a whole new level.

As a hot tub is quite an eye-catching detail in the home garden, it is important that the garden is given a look of eye-catching harmony and elegance. Of course, the first question to ask when choosing a hot tub is how big it should be. "Here, you should simply start with how much space you have in the garden and how large a party you want to enjoy the barrel with. Naturally, a large barrel is sometimes nice to spread out in on your own," says interior architect Heinike. However, the barrel could be big enough to accommodate a nice evening with friends or family.

What kind of heating system for a hot tub?

The second, and by no means the least important, detail is the choice of the type of heating that suits your lifestyle. "If you're only going to start using your hot tub on weekends, the easiest solution is a wood-burning stove. If, on the other hand, you want to run a hot tub more than once a week and continue to do so, for example, all year round, then electric heating is the best choice," Heinike advises. In that case, it certainly makes sense to add a filter system to the equipment to help keep the water clean and usable at all times.

To make heating and then keeping the water warm as energy-efficient as possible, it is a good idea to choose a hot tub with a special insulating foam coating on one side. "In order to minimise the time and energy needed to heat the water, a thermal cover is also an invaluable aid. It helps to ensure not only energy efficiency but also that the hot tub keeps out everything that shouldn't get in, such as tree leaves, pollen, rain and snow. The cover is also important for safety, especially if there are small children in the family," Heinike adds.

Of course, safety is also important in other respects. In the case of a stove-heated hot tub, safety is ensured by a chimney safety net and a spark arrester, and as with all electrical appliances, it is of course worth ensuring that the technology is of a high quality.

Heinike Luht and Kristiina PuuseppUnderwater lighting solutions create a pleasant atmosphere

Once the size and heating method have been chosen, the next step to making the hot tub a real home spa is to pay attention to the functionality. "For example, good massage systems can help you to relieve muscle tension and a wide range of aches and pains very easily. Similarly, air massage, or in other words, a whirlpool system, stimulates and strengthens the circulatory system and the body's overall resistance. Underwater lighting solutions, on the other hand, help to create just the right atmosphere and mood," says Kristiina.

There are very different price ranges of hot tubs on the market, but Kristiina reminds us that price alone and fast delivery times should not be the starting point. Choosing the right hot tub can give you up to twenty years of service! These are just the kind of products that have recently gained a lot of popularity. Lingalaid hot tubs.

When it comes to quality, it is worth paying attention not only to the technology, but also to the basic components of the hot tub, such as the wood used for the outer lining and the finishing materials used for the inner surface. Not all fibreglass surface finishes are designed to withstand high temperature fluctuations, nor, for example, the substances used to disinfect the water. Similarly, the service life of wood components is determined by the way they are treated. Knowing this, it is worth investigating whether and how the manufacturer has thought about the long life of the hot tub," Kristiina adds. For Lingalaid's hot tubs, for example, only environmentally friendly and particularly long-lasting heat-treated wood is used for the lining, and the highest quality fibreglass with a special coating is used for the interior.

"If you plan to start using the hot tub only on weekends, the easiest solution is a wood-burning stove. However, if you want to enjoy the pleasures of water more often than once a week, all year round, then the best choice is electric heating," Heinike points out. In this case, it is definitely wise to include a filter system in the equipment, which helps to keep the water clean and usable at all times.

IMG 5548 | 2024In order for heating the water and keeping it warm to be as energy-saving as possible, you should choose a hot tub, the inside of which is covered with special insulation foam. In addition to ensuring energy efficiency, it helps keep out of tub everything that doesn't belong there, such as leaves, pollen, rain, and snow. The cover is also important in ensuring safety, especially if there are small children in the family," adds Heinike.

Underwater lighting solutions create a pleasant atmosphere

Once the size and heating method have been chosen, in order for the hot tub to become a real home spa, the next step is to focus on functionality. "Good massage systems, for example, can help you get rid of muscle tension and various pains very easily. Air massage, in other words, the bubble system, also stimulates the nervous system strengthens the blood vessels and the body's overall resistance. Underwater lighting solutions, in turn, contribute to creating exactly the right atmosphere and mood," says Kristiina.

There are hot tubs in the market in a very different price range, but Kristiina emphasizes that one should not only look at the cost and fast delivery time alone. If you choose the right hot tub, it can serve you for 20 years! This is what Lingalaid hot tubs that have recently gained a lot of popularity are like.

When it comes to quality, in addition to technology, you should pay attention to the main parts of the hot tub, such as wood used for exterior cladding and interior finishing materials. Not all fiberglass coating materials are designed to withstand large changes in temperature or, for example, water disinfection agents. The lifespan of wooden parts is also determined by the way they are treated. Knowing this, you should investigate whether and how the manufacturer has thought about ensuring the longevity of the hot tub," adds Kristiina. In the case of Lingalaid hot tubs, for example, only environmentally friendly and especially long-lasting heat-treated wood has been used for the lining and fiberglass with the highest quality and special coating on the inside.

Interior architect Kadri Tamme: a hot tub extends the fun time in the garden in autumn!

Kadri Tamme

"The hot tub is perfect for a home where people love to spend time in the garden. It's possible to turn a corner of the garden into a home spa to enjoy with family and friends," says interior designer Kadri Tamme. A hot tub is also a particularly good choice for families with children, as the little ones love to play in the water.

According to Kadri Lingalaiu hot tub by its neutral and practical design, which fits in with a wide range of design styles. "The look of the barrel is definitely one of its strong points. Also, the glass-plastic contents are easy to maintain, clean and durable," he says. While electrically heated patio tubs and hot tubs are well suited to more densely populated areas (terraced houses, houses close to each other in the city) and for those who want to keep their hot tub water warm all the time (and use it whenever the mood strikes), wood-fired hot tubs are preferred for rural homes.

By adding a hot tub to your garden, you can transform it into a lovely little oasis. So Kadri gives you some advice on what other decorative elements to choose: "Lighting, seating area, lounge chairs, landscaping around the outside area. Why not a pergola or a lightweight building with a canopy?" He says that when entering the barrel, one should also think about an area where the feet are clean so as not to carry debris into the water. "Also, the theme could include the possibility of changing clothes, an outdoor shower before or after entering the barrel. You can combine a number of elements and it depends mainly on lifestyle and habits - an outdoor bar, a dive or a sports facility, whatever suits you," says the expert.

When buying a hot tub, it is important to carefully consider its location in the garden. "You need a level and stable base on which to place the hot tub. Consider the distance of the heater from buildings. The prevailing wind directions, as a low-wind area in the garden is preferable. If there is a sauna at home, the hot tub should be close to it. The feeling of home is best created in a more private and beautifully landscaped corner of the garden," explains the interior designer.

Home spaWhile many people think that spring rather than autumn is the best time to buy a hot tub, the end of summer is actually a particularly good time to do so. This is because it extends Lingalaiu hot tub time outdoors, but also a nice summer feeling. "The warmth of the hot water provides a feeling of warmth and a special experience for a long time when the air temperature is already cooler," says the interior designer. The hot tub is particularly enjoyable in winter, when you can soak in the warm water in the bitter cold.

Kadri herself also recently bought a hot tub in Lingalaiu for her farmhouse. "Our family loves long evening saunas on the weekends, and a cooling hot tub in the yard next to the sauna seemed essential. However, this summer it turned out that on hot days, both children and adults sometimes liked to cool off in the hot tub," he says.

Model Agne Vaher suggests: keep consuming calories post-workout by relaxing in the terrace bath.

Agne Vaher"I discovered Lingalaid patio bathtubs from social media and stood out for their simple and beautiful design as well as their good features. The quality-price ratio also seemed to be good," admits top model Agne Vaher.

By now, the terrace bath has become a regular part of Agne's life - sometimes she enjoys three hours of bath time at a time. "Relaxing in the bath instantly and noticeably relieves stress levels, so after a long day at work, a patio bath makes you feel good and gives you a better quality sleep!" Agne praises and adds: "Relaxing after a workout is also very good for the muscles, and a plus point is that calorie consumption continues in a small way."

However, she recommends the Lingalaid terrace bath for everyone, as it is good for both body and soul. "It's especially valuable for families with children - it's a lot of fun and there's plenty of activity!" says Agne.

Minimalist but luxurious patio bathtub

Agne is one of the many who have won the heart of the Lingalaid patio bat htub, which is already to be found in more and more gardens and patios.

There are several reasons. For a start, a patio bathtub's unique appearance makes it an ideal garden design element. For example, people often choose a patio bathtub as the focal point of their garden, planting shade trees and shrubs around it, and creating walkways and a relaxation area. It's also ideal for designing the terrace of a terraced house, for example. The patio bathtub is sunk into the terrace, so it stays flush with everything else and is not too prominent. While on the one hand it is very minimalist, on the other it is truly luxurious.

The Lingalaid patio bathtub does not require any special maintenance - you just need to use a filter system and cleaning tablets.

Agne Vaher1Stress reliever and calorie burner

A patio bathtub is not only beautiful to look at, but also full of substance. A notable plus is the lovely bubble system - a natural form of therapy with a host of healing and relaxing properties.

The upward movement of the heated air bubbles and the massage system ensure a full-body massage and enrich the circulatory system with oxygen. The warm bath increases breathing and pulse rate, lowers blood pressure and muscle tone. In addition, the fluctuating temperature stimulates the autonomic nervous system, strengthens the vascular system and the body's resistance and helps to eliminate waste products from the body. The hot-water bath is also helpful in cases of sleep and metabolic disorders and acts as an effective stress reliever.

Like Agne, many people use the patio bath as a calorie burner. Relaxing in a patio bath burns a decent amount of calories (around 280 cal/h), so it has an anti-cellulite, slimming and fat-burning effect. Isn't it great to just relax in the water and let your calories burn?

The patio bath can be used all year round - on a misty summer evening or a snowy winter morning! It's a great cooler in the hot summer weather and particularly enjoyable in the winter, when you're lounging in the hot water in the cold. It's also a special and memorable way to celebrate special occasions, which will delight children and adults alike!
